There are hundreds of thousands of parents caring for a chronically ill or disabled child. They are tired. They are exhausted, mentally, physically, and emotionally. They are suffering from caregiver burnout. Grant A Dream is a fairly new non-profit organization with a mission to, “…stop caregiver burnout by sending mom’s & dad‘s of chronically ill/disabled children on a rejuvenating “Dream” get away!”. Parents of chronically ill or disabled children often lack the time and the resources to care for themselves, which leads to burnout. They need time to get away for self-care and to rest and recharge. Enter Grant A Dream. This non-profit organization sends parents on a “Dream” getaway to help them rejuvenate and refresh so they can continue to care for their beloved children without feeling completely overwhelmed. Grant A Dream has granted Dreams for 4 caregivers and is on their way to granting 8 Dreams in 2020.
As a fundraiser, Grant A Dream will be hosting its 2nd Annual Golf Outing at the Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield on Saturday, July 11, 2020. This will be a fun event! Sit on a keg to tee off, put with a pool cue, and more…. so be sure to bring your sense of humor! Cost is $100 per golfer and includes green fees, golf cart, range ball, lunch and prizes! 7:00 AM check-in with an 8:00 AM shotgun start. Registration closes on June 30th.
