I am in LOVE with this art form! Something about wood burning just screams Colorado to me… Skylar Ghrairi is a local mother of two with a BFA who just happened to get a wood burner as a gift from a friend. From there, Altered Oak was born! She quickly discovered it was an art form that she could easily stop and start with little ones running around, and it became her go-to medium to fulfill her need to create. Her work is exquisite. Every piece is made by Skylar in her studio and is quite literally one of a kind, from ornaments, to address plaques, to pet portraits… and the list goes on!
